Welcome to the Fall Semester. We are starting with Unit 1on Unit 5. The unit goes quick, the exam is at the end of January. The unit covers the world from 8000 B.C. E to 600 B.C.E.
There will be a reading quizzes every week. Be sure to check the calendar for the pages.
It is highly recommended that you outline the chapter, but it is not required. Here is another way to outline the chapter-Chapter Summary Packet.
This course will be using primary and secondary source materials, here is a set of source documents for the class. Documents
All review materials for exams are available on the AP Blog and Podcast sites.
The first book review will be due September 30. Check the Book Review link on the right for more information.
One thing to work on right now is reading with a purpose. Here is a paper on how to take notes from the readings, Reading Notes.

It is highly encouraged
that you begin preparations for the AP Exam. Study groups will be formed at the end of the fall semester. It is recommended,
but not necessary, to purchase a review book. There are several available.

If you find yourself needing extra help with the class, I will be available before school at 7:15 and after school till 3:30.
